I asked a grizzled old man how he could sleep on a subway grate under the glaring neon of the Ads and the the constant din of passing cars. In time ive learned he had a point. The heart of the Necropolis is an art, an expanse of Chaos that spins so fast its nearly impossible not to get caught up in it.
Downtown is a relative term, you can walk for miles here and still be 'Downtown'. This area runs the gamut to its most extremes. There are alleys full of homeless and drug addicts, there are bars full of thugs and ravers, there are buisnesses full of blue-tooth and tie wearing buisnessmen.
Whatever you want you can find it here, from a stiff drink to a quickie behind a dumpster. There are police, of course, every city has police. Necropolis Police are just as likely to turn the other way when asked for help as they are to bash your teeth out with their nightsticks just for walking too close.
I learned quickly to never expect anything from anyone around here. You would do well to learn the same. The one thing everyone here agrees on is that you will never be alone. There are no empty bars, no deserted alleys. Even the condemned buildings have tenants and the greatest advantage a kindred has here is that he can know with almost true certainty that noone really gives a fuck whats happening as long as they have a chance to walk away from it.
