'The Catacombs are locked down, noone goes there anymore.'

Its a bold faced lie told by anyone who doesnt go into the catacombs. The Catacombs are quite alive, in fact they see almost as much as activity as the maze above. If it werent for the flooding problems and the more than frequent dissapearances, cave ins and deaths id imagine more people would live down here.

This is the subterrainean city. Not just the subways but the old tunnels, secret passages, massive chambers, bone lined burial crypts and every dirty little secret the city has ever buiried. I knew a Nosferatu who lived in the catacombs for a century without ever coming topside. Even she said she barely scractched the surface...

Strangely enough one of the main draws into the catacombs is ravers. Every week there is a new party that shakes dust from the cieling and sends drugged up revelers into the darkness never to be seen again.

I have heard rumors of everything from Satanic cults to cannibalistic mutants down here. I wont speculate as to where these rumors come from, but they dont seem to do a damn thing to deter anyone from wandering into the darkness below the city.

Getting lost down here is easy. Youd be amazed how many locked gates and dead ends and flooded tunnels you find when you want to get out of the Catacombs. Getting in is one thing, getting out is another monster entirely.
