'Fuckin police nevah come down ere man.'
I was mugged my first trip here. In my odd way i asked the man if he feared being brought to justice. He spit in my face and told me he hadnt seen a cop actually arrest anyone down here for the last three years. I believe him, if theres one place I wouldnt want to wear a badge, its here.
The red light district could be considered part of downtown, but it just feels so different. Theres a closeness to the air, like an icy finger down your back or a jilted lover following you with the headlights off. Most people assume prostitution is legal in this part of town. Im certain its not, but there they are, lined up like soldiers for the buying.
This is where you find all the seediest strip clubs, the darkest of the bars, the most openly advertised brothels and the most dangerous alleys in the entire above ground Necropolis. This is a place where you tread lightly or wind up in trouble.
The sad part is some people actually live here. The gang members probably have a good life here; but not hte average people. You get a roof over your head, sure, but your life is certain to be a daily hell if you decide to make the red light district your home.
